Contract for the design and construction of a new boiler at Zenica Cantonal hospital signed

On Thursday, October 23 of the current year, Unioninvest d.d. Sarajevo and the Zenica Cantonal Hospital signed a contract for the design and construction of a new boiler room as part of the project “Improving the energy efficiency of the Zenica Cantonal Hospital”, which is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with grants from the European Union.

The design and execution of all phases is foreseen in the contract: construction, mechanical and electrical phases.

The value of the signed contract amounts to 6,851,513.55 KM, or 3,503,123.25 euros including VAT.

The construction of a new boiler house in the Zenica Cantonal Hospital will include the delivery and installation of 3 pieces of hot water boilers with combined burners with a total capacity of 8 MW and a steam boiler with a capacity of 400 kg/h, including hot water/steam pipelines to the heating substations of individual buildings within the hospital.

Construction status of the main transport pipeline Plazulje-Potocari in Brcko

The implementation of one of the largest infrastructure projects in the field of water supply in BiH is underway, namely the construction of the main transport pipeline Plazulje–Potocari in Brcko. The contract between the Government of the Brčko District and the contractor Unioninvest d.d. Sarajevo was signed in 2024, and the value of the project is over 13 million euros. The project is financed by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Despite the numerous challenges accompanying the works, approx. 13 km of dactyl GTC DN500 and DN400 mm NP16, 2.4 km of PE100 pipelines DN400 and DN355 mm NP10, reconstruction of the existing pumping station (PS) Plazulje and the construction of the Potočari reservoir have been completed so far.
A total of 28 sub-drillings and 7 laying under watercourses were carried out along the route of the GTC.
Work is currently underway on the branch from the GTC DN500 dactyl to PE100 225 mm towards Grbavica, the GTC pipeline and junctions at the Omerbegovača branch, AB works on shafts, as well as artisanal works on the Potočari reservoir.
